Installation Competition Guidelines

Laji Couture will be holding their first annual installation competition on Sunday, September 9th.

This competition is open to all Beijing architects & designers, both foreign and Chinese. This platform is being provided to express the vision of our theme.

Theme: “finding functionality in all things waste”

Guidelines

1). Installations will be entered by a group. Each group must consist of 3-5 team members.

(If you need to be placed in a team, please contact Miranda at mm@mychinaopportunity.com)

2). Each team will have 4 sq. meters to work with.

3). All aspects of Installations must include recycled materials.

Ex. Plastic bottles, Cardboard, Metal, Cans, Etc.

4). Installations will be constructed on the day of the event starting from 10 am.

All installations must be complete before 3 pm.

5). Final ideas and concepts must be submitted by August 31^st, 2012

Keep in mind that this competition will occur outdoors.

Profiles

All teams and participants will have a place on the website for profiles.

1). Please make a team name

2). Write a personal profile about your background and experience.

3). Also include a photo.

Judging

During the daytime event from 11am-3pm, the public will contribute their vote to their favorite pieces of work. A panel of judges will also evaluate the installations. A winning team will be selected based upon the public vote and by the final evaluation of the judges.

The winner will be announced at Laji Couture’s evening event, which all installation participants will be invited to.

装置物比赛规则

Laji Couture在九月九日，星期日，举办受个年度的装置物比赛。

所有的建筑师和设计师对有资格参加。这比赛的目的是为了表达我们今次活动的主题。

主题：“在所有的废物当中找到它的用途和美丽。”

规则

1. 比赛会用到分组模式，每组包括三到五个人。每组会提交一件装置物。

2. 每组会有四平方米的创制空间。

3. 装置物的材料一定要用回收过的物品，如塑料瓶，纸板，金属，罐子等。

4. 装置物要在比赛当天之前完成。

5. 最终的思想和观念要在八月三十一日前提交。

提醒以下，比赛会在室外举行。
